Safety Intervention Training

Description

CPI Safety Intervention ™ training, formerly known as MAPA ® incorporates trauma-informed and person-centered approaches. The programme is the perfect solution for professionals working in health, social care and education who need to prevent and/or intervene in crisis situations. With a focus on prevention, it also teaches staff de-escalation skills as well as non-restrictive and restrictive interventions.

Suitability

Any professional working in environments where they may encounter challenging behaviours, as it equips them with safe, effective strategies to prevent, de-escalate, and manage crisis situations while prioritising the wellbeing of all individuals involved.

Learning Outcomes

  • Learn simple behavior assessment and decision-making skills to ensure escalation is avoided.
  • Learn how to focus on the least restrictive physical intervention to ensure  the care, welfare, safety, and security of others.
  • Learn physical interventions that have been independently risk assessed, following published research which demonstrated that they maximise safety and minimise harm and follows international standards of best practice.

Course Fee

CPI-SI training is given to a group of 12 participants or less at the cost of €2290 per group

Duration & Format

Blended (Self learning & Classroom) or Classroom.
Participants need to attend all hours of training as to receive a copy of the CPI-SI® Participant Workbook, a Blue Card® with a unique registration number and a Certificate of Completion.
